How to use home fragrances with reeds
In this guide
A reed diffuser can complement the atmosphere you enjoy at home. Choose around the individual product, the room and its instructions rather than a general promise that one diffuser suits every setting.
Choose a scent direction
Compare floral, fruity, woody or fresh styles you enjoy. Fragrance notes describe an impression, but do not confirm unspecified natural oils or the same composition in every product.
Position and stability
Place the diffuser securely, follow its label’s safety directions and protect surfaces from liquid. Avoid places where the bottle could be knocked over and keep it out of reach of children and animals. Do not put it directly by a heat source simply to make the scent stronger.
Reeds and care
Use suitable reeds and follow the product instructions. Intensity and consumption cannot be set identically for every product. When using a refill, check that it is intended for the same application; do not combine unverified liquids or electrical devices.
Restraint and interior style
A bottle can be part of your decor, but suitability matters more than appearance alone. Consider other people’s comfort and ventilation. Home fragrance does not replace cleaning and is not a promise of improved health.
Other formats
If reeds do not suit you, compare actual home-fragrance spray options. Use home fragrance samples for their intended purpose rather than as perfume for skin.
